The Rapper PhilFlow, born Philip Obozuwa, is geared up to redefine what's possible with Hip hop music in Nigeria. He hails from Edo State “The Heartbeat Of Nigeria” and is the third child amongst five. As a young boy his favorite toy was his mini cassette player. To cook up lyrical skills, PhilFlow would record himself with his mini cassette player rapping with beats from taps on the table and writing his own lyrics. His musical talent was noticed by others and PhilFlow was one of the few rappers chosen by his school to represent them in rap forums and bring glory. His influence in music ranges from Hip Hop, R & B, Jazz, Reggae and Soul. His favorite artists include Run DMC, Rakeem, Jay Z and 50 cent because they are the root of Hip Hop plus they also showed that rap music opens doors to lots of opportunities.

In 2001 PhilFlow started to regularly cut his lyrical teeth, recording his first song in his bedroom with just a computer and microphone. From Grace to Grass and now he's headed back to Grace shows the movement of a confident artist who has been through many challenges.  On his grind since he was a teen he put food on the table for his family and never shied away from his responsibilities.  Gifted with the ability to bake he worked in a bakery as the Chef.  If getting rich is measured by what one has been through in life then PhilFlow is already a multimillionaire.

For PhilFlow music is a"launching pad" for his many other talents including producing and acting.  His style and class of music makes him stand out of the crowd of Nigerian rap artists.  Self proclaimed and naturally ambitious PhilFlow, with Anoff Recordz, is turning his musical dreams into reality.  The Borders of Hip Hop in Nigeria are about to be redefined.
